Dongshan Precision (
Recently, a netizen found that on the second-hand trading platform Xianyu, a product titled “SORSOURCE 800G OSFP FR4 optical module” was listed.
“SOURCE” is the English brand name of Soursi, Dongshan Precision’s optical module subsidiary.
The incident traces back to early July, when market rumors circulated about a “small essay,” claiming that a batch of DML optical chips and unfinished 800G optical modules owned by Dongshan Precision’s Soursi were stolen during overseas warehouse logistics, with an estimated value of about $27 million.
As the case continued to gain traction, product information on the Xianyu platform again drew market attention back to the theft case.
A seller had previously listed a “brand-new Soursi SOURCE 800G OSFP FR4 optical module” item, priced at 950 yuan. The product page states that it claims to be “genuine original, in stock, and with packaging,” and says it is suitable for scenarios such as data centers and network expansion.
