I originally wanted to close the position and go to sleep, but this cut came even more precisely than the alarm clock—finally, the shorts turned the hesitation at the top into an answer.

Just after lunch, when I checked the chart, $DOT was still probing around the upper range. I saw that the bounce didn’t have sustained buy pressure; several times the price surged higher and was pushed back down, and the follow-through was clearly insufficient. Watching DOT’s rhythm, I judged this was more like loosening after a bull trap, so I went long around 1.223.

Now the price has reached 0.764. The floating result on this trade shows +2663%—the timing is spot on, and it feels great. First, pocket the bulk: close 80%, and keep the remaining 20% running. At the same time, move the protection level to around the cost basis.

Don’t get greedy for the last bite. Unrealized profit isn’t considered truly yours until you lock it in.

Friends who haven’t boarded yet, take my word for it: this is not the time to chase shorts. On any pullback, the rebound also needs caution—wait for the next wave of signals before moving. There are opportunities; don’t be in a hurry.
