I only wanted to grab a quick breakfast, but the order book literally served the short-sellers’ “answer” on a plate. When I opened the chart in the morning, $XPL was still hovering around the high range, swaying back and forth repeatedly. It looked like it might keep charging, but in reality, every time it went up it was just a breath short—sell orders kept pressing down, and the incoming support never really caught up.
A few days ago, before bed, I watched XPL. I saw a seemingly limitless push higher, with clear suppression overhead, and I judged it wasn’t a strong breakout—it looked more like a trap for those tempted to chase after the spike. So around 0.08217, I entered a long, waiting specifically for this pullback. Now the price is at 0.07889, and my short position is sitting on an unrealized profit of +284.09%—this bite of “meat” is delicious.
First close 80%; put the main bulk into your pocket. Move the remaining 20% of the protection level to the cost basis—if it keeps dumping, let the profits run; if it rebounds, don’t give back the profit you’ve already taken.
Price action is something you wait out, and profits are something you hold onto. Friends who haven’t boarded yet, don’t chase—wait for the next signal to make a move. The market isn’t short on opportunities; it’s short on patience.
