This short position could actually make money—the key isn’t chasing the sell-off and placing the trade, but waiting for the signs of breakdown at the high levels to gradually show up. After the earlier spike, it kept falling one after another, and the bids never really caught up; I was watching precisely this back-and-forth.
What’s really uncomfortable is that at the start there wasn’t an immediate sell-off—instead, it just ground sideways. Holding a short position makes you feel panicky. Only when the price moved from 0.06816 down to 0.05643 did the chart finally confirm my earlier judgment, and the outcome of this trade landed at +823.82%.
Along the way, there were a few brief spikes that looked like a rebound, but in reality they were just flushing out the uncertain. If someone was too eager and kept adding on the way up, the rhythm would be easier to mess up, so I chose to keep waiting for it to give the answer on its own.
After this drop, I became even more convinced by the short-side thesis. It’s not because it fell that I’m bearish—it’s because the supply pressure keeps existing at the high levels. Real trading is about understanding it and still being able to hold back from making impulsive moves.
