July 28 Gold Morning Market Trend Analysis:

The US side released a message saying it plans to launch an investigation into domestic AI companies and implement sanctions. The Ministry of Commerce quickly responded, directly intensifying the China-US technology rivalry. In the short term, market risk-aversion sentiment warmed up, providing a round of bottom support for gold. After gold probed lows, it then moved into a corrective recovery.

Technically, the boll lower band continues to rise, and the price has remained above the boll middle band. Bearish momentum is clearly weakening, and downside support is strong. However, the boll upper band remains a prominent resistance level. Combined with the slowing pace of the US dollar’s rise, the market currently lacks major data to drive a directional move; today, gold is mainly expected to trade in a range. Don’t blindly chase orders.

Trading recommendations:

Place sell orders in the 4090-4110 range, and if the price around 4090 falls directly, follow the move to sell.
First target to watch is 4050, with the next support at 4030.

The newsflow is only short-term sentiment; on the technical side, the Bollinger bands have indeed tightened, so there’s no real one-way move. But where should the stop-loss be set for a short position at 4090–4110? What if it just rallies straight up and slaps you in the face?

The analysis is quite on point, but at this position, the short trade’s cost-effectiveness isn’t great right now—wait for a rebound and then consider it.

I dropped $30 last night and didn’t dare to follow, but now it’s back to 4090. This market is really grinding—still, I’m mainly going to wait and observe.
