Crypto Coin World news: Apple is being sued in the U.S. Northern District of California federal court for failing to effectively prevent crypto-currency scam apps in the App Store. Three users accuse Apple’s security review mechanism of omissions, which allegedly led them to download fake crypto wallet applications, with cumulative losses exceeding $1.8 million. The apps involved impersonated Sparrow Wallet, causing the three users to lose approximately $875k, $840k, and $120k, respectively. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and compensation. Apple responded that it will quickly remove the violating apps and said there is currently no Sparrow Wallet impersonation app on the App Store.
