To be honest, this trade at the very beginning didn’t really excite me much—more like I was waiting. The high-level grind mill kept going for a long time. The price kept probing around 16.26 repeatedly, but never managed to break out in a proper way. Later it got pushed down all the way to 14.14, and the result feedback came out to +925.12%.
The middle part was really torturous. My short orders just sat there doing nothing. After a few rebounds, the floating PnL got knocked back again. When my hands got itchy, I even thought about getting out early. But every time there was a rebound, it didn’t continue. After that, the post-trade follow-through got weaker and weaker, which made me feel like the market wasn’t building up energy—it was instead grinding down the people chasing longs.
After the real dump finally showed up, the chart finally gave the answer. Those earlier fake breakouts didn’t get followed through; instead, they locked up longs above and accumulated short-term liquidity. Once the price broke down, sell pressure was released continuously, and the shorts’ rhythm suddenly clicked into place.
A lot of retail traders don’t necessarily get the direction wrong—they just wait too long, and then start doubting themselves. What I’m glad about this time is that I didn’t lose patience during the grind mill. Opportunities sometimes don’t kick off right away; they only show true direction when everyone else is almost ready to give up.
