Just after I finished watching the bearish move, many people’s first instinct was to chase the sell-off and smash the price. I, however, pulled my hands back first and waited for the market itself to prove the direction. $TAO At the time, it looked like it was dropping fast, but there were already signs of heavy pressure at the highs: the rebound kept getting weaker, and sell orders kept being pushed back. The real key wasn’t how far it fell, but that once it moved up, it just couldn’t stay firm.

So around 258.4, I chose to execute a long—first, to observe under the logic that there’s insufficient follow-through, and not to treat short-term volatility as the whole answer. Now TAO has already moved to 194.1, and the shorts have been closed for a profit of +1198.35%. This big, juicy gain came so cleanly—no wasted waiting.

Once the price gives feedback, the position has to be adjusted accordingly too: first close 80%, and move the remaining 20% to the protection zone near the cost basis. If it continues to sell off, let the profits extend. If it suddenly rebounds, at least I won’t hand back the results I’ve already secured.

Risk control comes first—that’s called staying rational. Cutting losses only after you’ve lost—this is the “heroic last-resort cut.” If you don’t have a position, don’t rush to add and chase. The market isn’t short of opportunities—the real shortage is patience. Wait for a new structure to form, then reassess.
