Something is off with the data. $SNDK The 24-hour trading volume surged to 2715.1M, more than 3 times the average daily volume from the past week, yet the price fell by 12.95%. This kind of volume-price divergence is rarely seen among major coins.
Three possible meanings: First, giant whales are dumping to rotate inventory, with the price moving within the fluctuation range from 1518 to 1231—funds are shifting from weaker hands to stronger hands. The main players may be using increased volume to manufacture panic and collect low-priced coins. Second, structural on-chain arbitrage or liquidations have appeared: this trading volume far exceeds a normal turnover rate. It’s not ruled out that some institutions use large orders to “trade against each other” to boost distribution, but the fact that the price hasn’t stabilized suggests the buy-side may lack sufficient absorption. Third, this is the last sell-off after a fake breakout. Around 1520 is a prior dense resistance zone. After failing to break through, heavy volume triggers a sell-off; instead, it could form a bottom “volume spike reversal” signal. Watch closely: during this round of decline, the trading volume is mainly concentrated in the 1310-1270 range. The money flow line hasn’t fully turned bad—it looks more like a shakeout than a trend reversal.
In terms of action, conservative traders can wait for the price to hold above 1300 and for volume to contract before entering a small exploratory position. Set the stop-loss below the 1200 integer level, and take profit first at 1450. Aggressive traders can bet on a rebound with a small position around 1270; set a strict stop-loss at 1220, and if there’s a volume surge and a pullback to 1330 during the day, add more. Keep position size within 15% of total capital. This kind of signal doesn’t appear more than a few times a year, but never bottom-fish during a volume-amplified sell-off—wait for volume contraction confirmation.
My tag: an old crypto-wheat trader who focuses on volume anomalies. No hype, no bias—just look at the data. If you’re also watching trading volume to find opportunities, follow me; next time I catch an abnormal signal, I’ll throw it onto the square immediately. Poll: Do you think this dump is a shakeout or a real drop? I think it’s a shakeout—the reason is that the volume is huge but it didn’t break down through the support line.
