Every time I hear someone say, “People just don’t want to work anymore,” I wonder if we’re asking the wrong question.

Maybe it’s not that people dislike work.
Maybe they’re exhausted by jobs that demand more while giving less.
Long commutes.
Paychecks that barely keep up with the cost of living.
Missing family milestones because work comes first.
Unpaid overtime becoming an expectation.
The fear that years of loyalty can disappear with a single layoff.
Most people aren’t avoiding work.
They’re looking for work that lets them build a life instead of sacrificing one.
If so many people are feeling the same frustration, perhaps the conversation shouldn’t only be about workers.
It should also be about the conditions they’re working under.
