The last glance before bed was still sideways, but when I looked again in the morning, it had already changed its mood. Such a market really tests patience. It didn’t truly break out; it just repeatedly pushed the price up to high levels, then the bids kept getting thinner and thinner. Naturally, the shorts waited out their window.
Before the market fully kicked off, I noticed the rebound in $WIF became shorter and shorter. WIF was continuously pressured from above, and the volume didn’t keep up. Seeing this low-volume push higher, I didn’t bet that it would keep surging. Instead, I opened a long around 0.1891, and first set my risk boundaries.
Now the price is at 0.1541. The unrealized profit on my position has been realized to +891.34%. This one was worth staring at the chart. I closed 80% first to lock in the main gains; the remaining 20%—I moved the stop loss protection to around breakeven. If it keeps dropping, let it run. Even if it rebounds, I won’t give back what I’ve already taken.
Putting risk control first is called being rational. Cutting again after a loss is called “a warrior’s decisive severance.” Even if you only catch a portion—if you can take it away, it’s yours. Chasing orders is easy to get stuck hanging at the top of the mountain. There are still opportunities—don’t be in a hurry. Wait for the next wave’s signal to move.
