#USPausesStrikesAfter13DaysOfBombingIran

Global Market Sentiment Could Shift After the Break in the Middle East conflict. While 13 nights ago the first US strikes on Iran began, there will be a stop in U.S military activity. A justification of this decision on the side of the White House officials have been explained with, "military, security and political aspects, not just one single event."

In other words, from the side of commanders the airstrikes caused the main forces of Iran enough damage in order to no longer warrant more attacks, yet at the same time this was a matter of strategic interests that wanted to reduce the risks associated with the continuation of the operation such as rising regional tensions, as well as depleting US resources such as patriot missile inventories.

Meanwhile, from the side of Tehran, a break on retaliatory measures was also announced in terms of "deterrence through proportional response," and from this perspective, the break would reduce the risk of further escalation between the two countries in the short term if mutual restraint will not weaken. Diplomats of neighboring countries, Qatar, Egypt, Pakistan, have expressed a positive outcome and interest for a temporary ceasefire, and this time it may provide with a new chance for both countries to talk. Whether the dialogue will end up leading to a stable peace process and resolution, and the impact this will have in global markets will be worth monitoring. A reduction in geopolitical tensions will lead to decrease risks of disrupting supply chains that provide all countries all over the world; as well as it will result in greater overall global market enthusiasm.

Nevertheless, a continued deterioration in the Middle Eastern situation and an even bigger geopolitical escalation might quickly disrupt these positive expectations.

So what are your personal thoughts?

Do you think this is just a breath to gain more time between the U.S and Iran or it will lead to a successful negotiation between parties?
