Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 27, Cointelegraph reported that the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) updated the register for the third time after the MiCA transition period deadline, adding 15 crypto asset service providers and bringing the total number of licensed entities to 309. The new entities include BNY SA/NV, the European subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon, three German banks, and digital asset platforms such as BitPay, Coinify, and Bleap. Germany and Denmark added three entities each, while Bulgaria and Latvia added two each. This move shows that the EU MiCA framework is still being advanced, but industry insiders also note that the compliance costs of continuously maintaining MiCA licenses may put pressure on smaller institutions.
