#EventContractsLaunch EventContractsLaunch
Today we are launching Event Contracts.
This is a new way to run events. Clear agreements, clear payments, and clear accountability for everyone involved. Organizers, creators, brands, venues, and attendees all know what to expect before the first ticket is sold.
We have been building this for the last 14 months. We tested it with 60 events. From 80 person meetups to 12,000 person conferences. The feedback was the same every time. The creative part of events is fun. The operations part is what breaks people.
So we fixed the operations.
What is the problem we are solving
If you have ever run an event, you know the pattern.
You book a venue. You hire speakers. You sell tickets. You get sponsors. And then you spend most of your time chasing paperwork.
Contracts sit in inboxes. Invoices are late. A speaker cancels 10 days out and there is no policy. A sponsor asks for a report and you spend a weekend in spreadsheets. A vendor delivers something different from what was promised. An attendee wants a refund and you do not know what the policy is.
The result is stress, lost money, and teams that are too burned out to do a second event.
We talked to over 300 organizers this year. Agencies, community leaders, corporate teams, creators. 84 percent said operations and legal are the biggest barrier to doing more events.
That is why we built Event Contracts.
What are Event Contracts
Think of them as smart agreements designed specifically for events. You set the terms once. Who does what. When payment happens. What happens if someone cancels. What data gets shared. Then the contract manages itself.
There are four core contract types.
One, Talent and Creators.
Book a speaker, host, performer, or influencer. The contract includes fee, travel, content rights, cancellation terms, and deliverables. Payment is held in escrow and released when they show up and deliver. If they cancel within the agreed window, the penalty triggers automatically. No awkward emails.
Two, Venues and Vendors.
Catering, AV, security, production, marketing agencies. You define scope, timeline, and payment milestones. If a vendor misses a deadline, penalties apply. If you cancel, your deposit policy applies. Everything is tracked in one dashboard.
Three, Sponsors and Partners.
Define deliverables up front. Logo placement, booth size, speaking slot, lead scans, post event report. Payment is tied to milestones. After the event, the report is generated automatically from check in data, badge scans, and engagement metrics. No more manual work.
Four, Attendees.
Ticket terms, refund policy, code of conduct. If an event is cancelled, refunds process automatically. If it is rescheduled, attendees choose refund or transfer. Transparency up front means fewer support tickets later.
All of this lives in one place. You, the other party, and anyone you invite can see status. Green means complete. Yellow means pending. Red means action needed.
Why 2026 is the right time
Events are back. But they are different.
In person attendance is up 22 percent year over year. Corporate offsites, creator meetups, brand activations, and community conferences are all growing.
At the same time, expectations are higher. Attendees expect a smooth experience. Sponsors expect ROI data. Creators expect to be paid on time. And teams are expected to do all of this with fewer people.
The old way of PDFs, wire transfers, and spreadsheets does not scale.
Event Contracts do.
How it works
Step 1. Create the event. Add date, location, size, budget.
Step 2. Add parties. Invite your speaker, venue, sponsor. Each gets a template pre filled with industry standards. You can edit any term.
Step 3. Agree and sign. Electronic signature. Everything is stored and auditable.
Step 4. Execute. Payments sit in escrow. Milestones trigger automatically. Check in data and engagement data flow in during the event.
Step 5. Close out. Final payments release. Reports generate. Feedback is collected. The contract is archived.
For a simple meetup, you can set this up in 20 minutes. For a large conference, it replaces weeks of legal and ops work.
What makes this different from a generic contract tool
Three things.
First, it is built for events. Normal tools do not know what a speaker rider is. They do not know what a booth lead scan is. Our templates were written by people who have run events.
Second, money is built in. Payments, escrow, refunds, and penalties are part of the contract. Not a separate system. That means less admin and less risk.
Third, it connects to data. After the event, you do not compile attendance by hand. If you use our check in or integrations, the sponsor report writes itself. That is what sponsors want in 2026. Proof.
What we learned in beta
We ran 60 events on this platform from January to June.
The average organizer saved 11 hours per event on admin.
94 percent of payments were released on time.
Zero disputes required manual mediation.
Sponsor renewal rate was 31 percent higher when they got an automated report within 7 days.
Here are 3 examples.
Example 1. A creator ran a 400 person workshop. Before, she spent 2 weeks chasing invoices. With Event Contracts, she set everything up in 45 minutes. Payments released automatically after the event. She said it felt like having an ops team.
Example 2. A brand did a 4 city tour. Each city had a different venue and local partner. They used one master template and cloned it. All payments and reports were centralized. Finance closed the books in 4 days instead of 4 weeks.
Example 3. A nonprofit ran a gala. Sponsors were nervous about ROI. The automated post event report showed attendance, social mentions, and lead scans. Two sponsors signed multi year deals on the spot.
Who this is for
Community organizers doing monthly meetups. You can look professional and pay people without stress.
Creators doing live shows, workshops, or retreats. You can sell tickets and manage your team with clear terms.
Agencies running brand activations. You can manage 15 vendors and 5 sponsors without losing track.
Companies running user conferences. You can give legal and finance what they need and still move fast.
On trust, security, and compliance
We know money and agreements are sensitive.
All funds are held with licensed partners. You can pay out in fiat or stablecoins.
All contracts use legally binding e signatures.
All data is encrypted. You control who sees what.
We carry insurance for event cancellation and fraud.
We have a human dispute resolution team. In beta we did not need it once, but it is there.
Pricing
We want this to be accessible.
For free events and community meetups, the core contract tools are free. You only pay payment processing.
For paid events, we take a small percentage of ticket sales and sponsor payments. No monthly fee. No hidden costs.
For enterprises running 10 plus events per year, we have a flat plan with dedicated support and custom templates.
What is on the roadmap
This is version 1. Here is what is coming.
International payments and tax handling. Pay a speaker in Europe and a vendor in Asia without complexity.
AI contract review. It flags risky terms and suggests better ones based on thousands of past events.
Marketplace. Browse vetted speakers, venues, and vendors who already use Event Contracts.
Benchmarking. See how your pricing and attendance compare to similar events.
We are building this in public. If you have a feature request, send it. We read them.
Why this matters for the industry
Events are how people connect. They are how brands build trust. They are how creators make a living. But the business side has been broken for too long.
When organizers spend less time on admin, they spend more time on programming. Better speakers. Better experiences. Better communities.
When creators get paid on time, they say yes to more events.
When sponsors get real data, they invest more.
When attendees know the policy up front, they buy earlier.
That creates a flywheel. And it starts with clear contracts.
How to get started
Go to the dashboard. Create your first event. Invite one person. You will see how simple it is.
We are also running onboarding sessions this month. 30 minutes. We walk you through your first contract.
If you have an event in the next 90 days, try it. Even for one vendor. You will feel the difference immediately.
A note on AI and automation
We use AI to help, not to replace people.
AI suggests contract terms based on your event type.
AI drafts the sponsor report from your data.
AI flags deadlines you might miss.
But humans still make the decisions. Taste and relationships still matter.
Final thoughts
I have run events. I have been the person waiting 60 days for payment. I have been the person where a vendor did not show up.
It is exhausting.
Event Contracts are our attempt to fix that. To make running events feel as creative and exciting as attending them.
The goal is simple. Less admin. More trust. Better events.
If you believe events are important, and you want to spend more time on the part that matters, try this.
We are live today. Teams are already using it for conferences in September, tours in October, and community meetups next week.
Thank you to everyone who tested this with us. Thank you to the organizers who gave honest feedback. Thank you to the partners who helped us build the payment and compliance layer.
Let us make 2026 the best year for events. Not because they are bigger, but because they are better run.
If you have questions, reply here. If you want to see it, book a demo. If you are running an event, create your first contract today.
We built this for you.
