The data looks off. At the price of $MINIMAX 28.71, 24h is up 17.52%, but the trading volume suddenly surged to $10.1 million. However, the amplitude between the high 29.44 and the low 23.85 is 23%, which is not a normal breakout structure.

I’ll break down three possible scenarios for you directly: 1. The market maker is doing a “false breakout to lure FOMO”: price is pushed up to 29.44 and then quickly pulled back. The current 28.71 is exactly sitting right before an integer level. If this is to attract chasing buyers, then within the next half hour it will most likely second-touch around 29.4 and then instantly dump. The target is a pullback to 26.5. Watch whether the volume suddenly spikes near 29; if it does, that’s distribution. 2. The main force is washing out the dip-buy orders below 24.5: since the low 23.85 hasn’t broken the prior low, it suggests there’s capital stepping in. This kind of one-way rally but unstable end-of-day action likely means the people who built positions in the 23–24 range first get out, and then they wash out uncommitted holders before moving higher. If tomorrow’s opening can hold above 29.5, then it’s the real start. 3. A news-driven move, but a liquidity trap: MINIMAX hasn’t shown any obvious negative news recently, but a 17% jump combined with $10.1 million in volume is abnormal for a lesser-known coin. It could be a market maker from a certain major exchange rebalancing, or someone using wash-trading to pull the price and attract followers. If within the next half hour it contracts volume and trades sideways around 28, that’s a false signal; if it keeps pushing with volume to break 30, then we’ll go with it.
Trading advice: Don’t chase now. Wait to short in the 29.4 to 29.6 range, set the stop-loss at 29.9, and take profit first at 27.2. If it breaks below 27.5, cut the position in half. Keep position sizing within 5% of total capital. This kind of signal doesn’t happen many times in a year, but if you get it wrong, losses start at -30%. I mainly watch liquidity anomalies on Gate. Old followers know my style—focus on stability first.
