The hottest topic today is undoubtedly the one listed on the Chinese mainland today: Changxin Technology, a domestic DRAM storage leader!

Changxin’s issue price was: 8.66 yuan. The opening price reached: 49.50 (up 471.59%). As of midday, the price came to: 54.65 (up over 531%).

The market cap performance is astonishing. It opened at 3.31 hundred billion yuan (i.e., 3.31 trillion yuan), and in half a day it was about 3.66 hundred billion yuan (3.66 trillion yuan). Its market cap surpassed companies such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, becoming the A-share company with the highest total market capitalization.

And this time, Changxin’s winning lot matched 7.7 million numbers. Each lot is 500 shares (about 4,330 yuan). Based on the opening price, profit per winning lot is: about 20 thousand yuan, and the total fund-raising amount is: 579.19 yuan.

Is this the same as $SPCX ? The post-IPO hype is extremely high, but now SPCX has fallen from the high point 225 all the way down to 110—does the final outcome for all this hype always end up being a drop below the issue price? #长鑫今日上市成交901亿

$SPCX has already been a cautionary example; Changxin should be careful not to follow in the same footsteps.

Mainland China’s DRAM definitely has imagination, but a market cap of 3.6 trillion—it's even more expensive than Samsung’s memory division. The valuation has already priced in the next decade.

Trading volume was 90.1 billion, and the turnover rate was astonishing—speculators and institutions are both going wild. But history has proved countless times: the more exaggerated the IPO’s first-day gains, the more brutal the subsequent pullback.

Winning an allocation to make 20,000, but those who didn’t get it can only watch and feel jealous. Will tomorrow move all the way south like SPCX?

It surged to a trillion-dollar market cap on its first day of listing—higher than ICBC—so this bubble is a bit too big. Still, the domestic substitution logic is indeed strong; the key is whether it can sustain its performance in the long run.
