Alibaba Could Launch Standalone AI Agent App 'Xiangzao'
Alibaba is reportedly preparing to launch 'Xiangzao', an AI Agent designed to transform consumer product customization, with a standalone app potentially on the way.
Currently integrated into Alibaba's 1688 platform, Xiangzao allows users to:

• Preview customized products
• Receive instant quotations
• Place orders with one click
What makes it unique is the backend automation. Once an order is placed, AI automatically translates the design into manufacturing instructions and assigns production tasks to factories based on materials, processes, and production requirements—reducing manual work, lowering costs, and speeding up manufacturing.
If launched as a standalone app, Xiangzao could become a major step toward AI-powered manufacturing, where users design products with AI and factories produce them with minimal human intervention.
