$WEMIX Today’s price action is a bit weird, though. Based on past experience, in cases like this huge “black swan” event, it should keep dropping endlessly. But today it actually surged by more than a dozen percentage points—are they just being nice, giving everyone a chance to make an escape?

There’s definitely a possibility that Old Zhang is directing and acting it himself. Whether smart people who cut losses and then bottom-fish do it depends on their judgment. It’s been down for a year—by the time it gets pulled back up, even catching a train would probably be too late.

It’s just like stealing NetEase prepaid card credits: he simply exchanged the prepaid cards for R. He didn’t convert the prepaid cards into first-hand game currency and then sell them. In practice, the company is simply taking a pure loss, because he actually stole more than 700,000 U from the company to buy other assets, and it has little impact on token holders.

He swapped into U and bolted. Only whoever can’t hold will sell. U dumping the market is different from wemix dumping. In practice, wemix only gets affected a bit—those 30,000 coins. It’s not like the W coins that were stolen last time, where dumping the W coins’ order book happened.
