Yellow phosphorus market stabilizes and strengthens, and hot-process phosphoric acid is raised simultaneously

Abstract generation in progress
In recent times, the yellow phosphorus market has been filled with a strong wait-and-see atmosphere. From the manufacturers’ side, willingness to ship at lower prices is relatively weak; hoarding sentiment is gradually warming up. Some companies have raised their bank acceptance quotes to 27,000 - 27,200 yuan/ton to test how much the downstream market will accept. In Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan—the main producing areas—spot mainstream transaction prices have reached 26,300 yuan/ton, and the market trend shows signs of bottoming out and turning stronger. Meanwhile, downstream firms are purchasing cautiously, replenishing inventory only on a need-based basis. Compared with the same period last year, the market average price of yellow phosphorus was only 22,300 yuan/ton at the time; the year-over-year price increase is quite notable. Driven by rising upstream yellow phosphorus costs, hot-process phosphoric acid quotes have also been raised in tandem. Yesterday, the hot-process phosphoric acid market’s delivered-at-plant price was 8,400 yuan/ton; today it has already climbed to 8,600 yuan/ton. (SMM)
