📊 Changxin Technology’s on-chain Pre-IPO pricing is already out of sync with A-share offering price
Changxin Technology is set to list on the STAR Market tomorrow, and the on-chain market has already run an extremely exaggerated pricing experiment. The A-share offering price is 8.66 yuan, but the CXMT Pre-IPO contract on Hyperliquid is currently at $6.087, which translates to about 41.2 yuan RMB. Based on 66.88B shares after issuance, the implied market cap is about 2.76 trillion yuan.
This figure is far off from traditional issuance-side pricing. BlockBeats noted that Changxin’s initial market cap is about 580 billion yuan; if you use 2.76 trillion yuan, then the implied valuation for on-chain Pre-IPO is roughly 4.8 times the initial market cap. The number of effective online subscription accounts reached 9.4288 million, the allotment rate was 0.4714%, and the maximum fundraise could be as high as 66.6 billion yuan, indicating that the A-share side was already hot—yet the on-chain contract has amplified expectations for “China’s third-tier DRAM” by several layers.
The first layer affects price discovery. A Pre-IPO contract is not an official stock and doesn’t mean the price will reach that level on the first trading day after listing; it’s more like a high-leverage expectation pool, trading a combination of sentiment around scarce assets, domestic substitution, and AI memory/storage cycle.
The second layer affects on-chain derivatives. Markets like Hyperliquid are moving pre-listing companies and hot IPO expectations onto the chain. The upside is faster price discovery; the problem is that liquidity, contract settlement, underlying mapping, and extreme volatility will all amplify errors.
My validation order: see whether the first-day listing price converges toward the on-chain implied price; see whether the CXMT contract converges or continues to trade at a premium after the open; and see whether Hyperliquid later replicates more Pre-IPO underlying assets. If the spread closes quickly, it’s just sentiment trading; if the spread persists long-term, on-chain Pre-IPO will become a new entry point for risk pricing.
