🚨 A HACKER JUST MINTED $6.25 MILLION OUT OF THIN AIR. BY SEIZING CONTROL OF A STABLECOIN'S OWN CONTRACT.

WEMIX Dollar. Korea's first game company stablecoin. 7.6 billion won conjured with ZERO real dollars sitting behind it.
Here's why this is worse than a normal hack. Last year, this same company lost $6.1 million because someone stole login keys. Annoying, but survivable, that's a break-in.
This time the attacker didn't break in. They took OWNERSHIP of the contract itself. That means reserves stopped mattering entirely. They could print as much fake money as they wanted, and the system had no way to say no.
Wemade confirmed it directly: attacker got owner privileges July 26, minted and transferred the funds before anyone reacted. They're now working with exchanges and security firms to trace it, with law enforcement possibly next.
SECOND major security failure for this exact company in under two years. Last time the price crashed 40%.
If a stablecoin's entire promise is "every coin has a real dollar behind it," what happens when the person controlling the mint button isn't the company anymore?
That's not a hypothetical. That's what just happened.
