When the screen is full of green lights, it’s easiest for people to rush to catch the dip—and also easiest for them to forget how to manage their short positions. During the intraday plunge, I first looked at the strength of $TAO ’s pullback; I found the rebound remained weak, and after it dropped, there wasn’t a quick recovery—the shorts didn’t exit.

Earlier, TAO surged around 258.4 with relatively low volume. The price looked like it was being pushed up, but in reality, no one was willing to keep taking orders. I then advised waiting for sell pressure to dissipate, and followed the plan to open longs—what I was waiting for was the realization after resistance at the high level.

Now the price is at 198.5, and the unrealized profit shows +1116.35%—the answer is already laid out on the chart. First, close 80% to lock in the results, then set cost protection on the remaining 80%. If it dips further, let the profit extend; if it bounces back, I won’t give back the space already taken.

Risk control done upfront is called rationality; cutting losses after the fact is called a brave man’s severing of the arm. Chasing a drop is also dangerous—if you didn’t get in, don’t rush to top up. The market doesn’t lack opportunities; what it lacks is patience.
