Shanghai Metals Market: Tin prices first fell and then rose; market conditions were average

Prices are range-bound and consolidating; overall consumer activity is slightly lacking. Although many merchants continue shipping, downstream procurement sentiment is not strong. Most buyers make purchases only out of low-price necessity, so market activity is currently limited. In addition, some downstream soldering order quantities show a relative preference, with stable demand in place, so near-term price trend support is not weak. Following the market upward move, it is heard that smaller brands quote August at a premium of around 800 to 1,200 yuan/ton; brands with the “Yun” prefix quote August at a premium of around 1,200 to 1,500 yuan/ton; and Yunnan Tin quotes August at a premium of around 1,500 to 1,800 yuan/ton.
