Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 27, according to “Digital Assets,” the Korean blockchain platform WEMIX released an official announcement on July 27 acknowledging that a security incident occurred in the smart contract of its stablecoin WEMIX$ (WEMIX Dollar). The incident occurred at 6:18 PM on July 26, when the owner privileges of the WEMIX$ smart contract were hijacked, resulting in the abnormal minting and transfer of about $6.25 million (approximately 87 million won) worth of WEMIX$ to an external address. WEMIX said it has already identified the suspected addresses used in the attack and is conducting on-chain investigations, while also working with major exchanges and blockchain security organizations to monitor the flow of the stolen assets; if necessary, it will cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
