🔥 It blew up! On Monday when trading opened, oil prices directly “plunged” by 6%!

Brent crude dropped in one go from the “three-digit dream” back to $91, and WTI even slipped below $84. Why? Because the US suddenly “called it quits” on Iran—airstrikes paused, and Iran also went along with it by refraining from retaliating. The panic that had been raging in the market beforehand—rumors that “Hormuz is finished”—cooled down by half in an instant.

Even more dramatic, the Houthis came out saying they struck Saudi Arabia, but Saudi Arabia didn’t even respond. No evidence, no truth—so the market treated it as “just talk,” and even European gas prices plunged by nearly 8%!

But don’t get too excited yet! Is this really a ceasefire, or is it a “golden pit” dug by the main players? Trump’s next move is the trump card. If they shift to negotiations, oil prices are headed for $85; if they turn hostile, the $100 level could come back at any time.

From a liquidity perspective, the long-to-short ratio in crude oil futures positions has already reversed, and the intent of the main players to shake out the market is clear. If the API inventory data is bearish tomorrow morning, oil prices may continue to test the 80 level downward; bottom-fishing should be done cautiously.
