Due to worsening conditions in the Middle East, on the 20th the U.S. Department of State again issued a global security alert, urging U.S. citizens in the Middle East to remain highly vigilant, and U.S. citizens in other regions to consider carefully before traveling to the Middle East. This is the second time in the past three days that the U.S. Department of State has issued a global security alert to American citizens. In a statement, the U.S. Department of State said that, given the intensifying tensions and the complexity of the security environment in the Middle East, there is a possibility of sudden escalation. U.S. citizens currently in the Middle East should remain highly vigilant, act with caution, and prepare for possible flight cancellations, temporary closures of airspace, and travel disruptions. At the same time, U.S. citizens outside the Middle East should reconsider plans to travel to or pass through the region. (Xinhua)
