On the evening of July 26 local time, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei responded to a letter recently sent by the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Naim Qassem, and its armed personnel. The reply said that, amid the current situation in the region, Hezbollah in Lebanon is the main force resisting Israel and its supporters, and has become an important force inspiring people around the world to oppose hegemony and its proxies. The reply also stated that Hezbollah can continue to hold steadfast, relying not only on its armed personnel but also on the support of the people of Lebanon—especially those in the southern regions. Mujtaba Khamenei reiterated that, according to the established line of the late Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon has become a strategic policy for Iran. He said that Iran will safeguard Lebanon’s territorial integrity and fully and unconditionally end Israel’s military actions against Lebanon, as the top condition related to a memorandum of understanding concerning an agreement to end the conflict with the United States.
