Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 26th recalled Brazil’s ambassador to Argentina, Júlio Bittelli, in protest of remarks and actions by Argentine President Javier Milei in Brazil. Milei was invited on the 25th to attend the National Congress held by Brazil’s Liberal Party in the southern Brazilian city of São Paulo. In his speech, Milei strongly criticized the Lula administration and protested against the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes for blocking his visit to Brazil’s former president Bolsonaro, who is serving a sentence. At the meeting, Brazil’s Liberal Party officially nominated Flávio Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, as the party’s presidential candidate. (Xinhua)
