In early trading on July 27, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Baghaei said that information exchange between Iran and the United States is still ongoing, and the mediation side is also continuing to carry out related work. He said that the Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding is not a long, complicated document, but a short memorandum containing only 14 clauses. The international community had originally expected the United States to “at least this time” honor its own commitments, but the U.S.’s actions have openly and seriously violated multiple provisions of the memorandum, causing diplomatic efforts to be “betrayed for the third time.”
