The National Commission for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief has initiated a national Level-4 disaster relief emergency response in Jilin.

According to the National Natural Disaster Relief Emergency Plan, on July 15, the National Commission for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief launched a national level-IV emergency response for Typhoon No. 9 “Bavi” and the severe impacts of heavy rainfall on Jilin. It dispatched working groups to the front lines of the affected areas to inspect the disaster situation on-site and to guide and assist local authorities in carrying out disaster relief work such as ensuring basic living support for affected people.
