This time it wasn’t a matter of guessing—at the high point, the fatigue was written into the order book by the market itself. When the sell-off hit early in the session, $BILL ’s bounce got weaker each time. The price wanted to push higher, but it kept getting pushed back to the original level. I noticed trading volume was on the low side and the buy side couldn’t keep up, so I reminded people not to get thrown off by a temporary lift and chase the move.
After the structure loosened, I went long around 0.14088. Now the price has returned to 0.02524, for a gain of +1616.08%. No wasted time in this grind.
First I’ll take 80%, locking in most of the results. The remaining 20% will be kept under observation, with the protection level moved to around the cost basis. If it keeps getting pushed down, let the profits run. If it bounces back, you still need to hold onto the portion that’s already been realized.
Even if it only ends up as unrealized profit, as long as it can be taken, then it’s yours. No matter how good the paper looks, it’s not over until it’s realized. Chasing right after a sharp drop makes it easy to get shaken out by a rebound. If you miss it, wait for the next shot.
