Just finished lunch and checked the chart—suddenly the green on my screen started to deepen. This time it wasn’t just a minor flicker; the shorts began smashing through the key levels, one layer at a time. During the choppy back-and-forth in the session, $SLX kept failing to break into the crucial area, and the answer came much more decisively than I’d imagined.

What I saw was weak rebounds—once it went up, nobody stepped in. On several attempts to push higher, it just lacked that one extra breath. While others were still watching from the sidelines, I focused on the change in SLX’s order absorption, confirmed that the buy-side wasn’t following through continuously, and then opened a long position near 0.21150.

Now the price has dropped to 0.10919, and the post-trade review corresponds to +952.46%. What looked grinding earlier ended up falling very cleanly. With this kind of short execution, it only matters if you can hold it.

First, pocket most of the gain: close 80% first. Put the remaining 20% back as a protection at the cost basis. If price keeps dipping further, just follow the move; and if a retracement triggers the protection, I won’t let unrealized profit turn back into a key level again.

Don’t grind away your patience in a range just to chase back your pride in a one-way move. Let profits not balloon, and don’t despair over drawdowns. This isn’t the time to chase shorts—wait for the next signal and then act.
