Kookmin Bank of South Korea will launch a cross-border business payment service based on JPMorgan’s blockchain payment network

Mars Finance news: South Korea’s Kookmin Bank (KB Kookmin Bank) announced that it will launch in August a cross-border business payment service built on Kinexys, the blockchain payment network from JPMorgan Chase. It will become the first financial institution in South Korea to apply this network to settlement for import and export enterprises. It is understood that the service will initially support remittances in US dollars (USD), covering 10 countries including the United States, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. It is expected to shorten cross-time-zone payment times with regions such as the United States and the Middle East.
