BitMart's announced shutdown is another reminder of a key crypto lesson:

Not your keys, not your coins.

No exchange is too big to face challenges. Always diversify, keep only trading funds on exchanges, and store long-term holdings in a self-custody wallet.

This isn't just about BitMart—it's about risk management.

Are you keeping your crypto on exchanges or in a personal wallet?

I suggest everyone act early as well—don’t regret it after things blow up.

Seeing BitMart close down isn’t at all surprising—risk for centralized exchanges has always been there. I personally moved most of my assets to a cold wallet long ago, keeping only a bit on the exchange for short-term trading. I suggest everyone act early as well—don’t regret it after things blow up.
