Can HYPE’s weak rebound reverse the downtrend? 4-hour chart analysis

1. The earlier rally was huge, valuation is at a high level, and many early holders are sitting on substantial profits—there is sustained pressure to take profits;

2. Large-holder positions have long/short ratios moving toward balance. There is no extreme long capital continuously adding, and there is a lack of incremental funds to drive a new round of upside;

3. The overall market environment is relatively weak. BTC and ETH are consolidating and suppressing overall risk appetite across the market, and capital is unwilling to keep heavily allocating to high-market-cap altcoins;

4. Market expectations for hype are cooling. Relying solely on the platform-fee narrative is difficult to sustainably support the prior high prices. After sentiment fades, funds withdraw on a temporary basis;

5. Funding rates fluctuate repeatedly. In the derivatives market, long-side confidence is insufficient, and the willingness of rebound capital to follow through is weak.

HYPE is a core target in the exchange track sector with solid fundamentals, but its valuation is not low. Price action is highly dependent on incremental capital and overall market sentiment. In a weak broader-market environment, funds prioritize taking profit and risk avoidance, so it ends up showing a trend pullback.

After HYPE surged and hit 62.49, the trend turned. It has been moving in a continuous downward channel. What we have now is only a weak rebound during the down move, with price under the moving averages and under pressure.
【Key levels】
Resistance: 59.99 / 62.49 / 64.49 / 66
Support: 58.37 / 56.00 / 53.80 / 51.20

Don’t chase the rebound. If the rebound reaches the resistance band and gets rejected, you can cautiously test short positions with a small size. Altcoins are extremely volatile—strictly control position size and set a stop-loss.

🔴 short setup
If the rebound reaches the 59.99~62.49 resistance zone and forms a long upper wick and a “failed to push higher” pattern, you can cautiously test a short; if it breaks down below 58.37, follow the move and go short, targeting the 56 support area.

The analysis is quite detailed, but this HYPE rebound is indeed weak—short-sellers’ thinking is fine.

Bro, the pressure range from 59.99 to 62.49 you mentioned is crucial. I’m planning to wait for the rebound back there, check the pattern, and then decide whether to open a short position. But the position size definitely has to be light—altcoin volatility is too scary.

Although the narrative is solid, the valuation is too high and there’s too much profit-taking. Don’t expect any major “primary upswing” or main uptrend leg in the short term—just wait patiently until the pullback is properly in place.

With the overall market this weak, a HYPE V-reversal is too difficult right now. Chasing longs is just handing over your head. Better to wait for a breakdown of 58.37, then short in line with the trend for a higher win rate.
