A few months back, I asked my followers to remind me to unstake my $HOME token on June 25th. Yesterday, everyone reminded me, but trying to get my funds out turned into an absolute nightmare with Defi App
Here’s what happened:
- On the staking interface, I clicked "REDEEM ALL" (as shown in the image below)
- On the next screen ("REDEEM OR WITHDRAW"), I clicked "Redeem" again, expecting my tokens to be unlocked for withdrawal
- Instead, the protocol automatically RESTAKED my tokens for another 3 months! My new redemption date is now locked until October 23rd
Why is @defiapp using dark patterns to force users into lockup periods? If clicking "Redeem" automatically restakes your tokens, that label is misleading. It should explicitly say "REDEEM & STAKE"
Forced lockups through deceptive UI design aren't the right thing to do, it's fraud. I do not want to stake my funds again. @defiapp , release my tokens immediately so I can withdraw them.
