BTC is holding steady around $64K on the surface, but the contract market is quietly shorting it.

BlockBeats latest data: BTC weighted funding rates are 0.0043%/0.0029%, and some platforms have already returned to neutral; ETH is lower at 0.0028%/0.0018%, having fallen below the bearish threshold of 0.005%.
What does this mean? While the price is ranging, the smart money is betting on a drop.
Liquidity is thin over the weekend—after BTC briefly broke below the key $63,800 support, it pulled back.
But don’t take this “Sunday recovery” too seriously—the real confirmation is when the US stock market opens on Monday.
If $63,800 can’t be held, the next support is at $60,000. If it can be held, there’s a chance to push toward $67,000.
Funding rates don’t lie. Price can pretend to be dead, but the direction of positions is a real, hard bet.
