According to FT, crypto platforms including tradeXYZ and Gate have launched perpetual contracts tracking the share price of China’s memory chip maker ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), giving overseas investors price exposure ahead of its listing. Data shows that over the past 24 hours, the trading volume of the related contracts was about $19 million. ChangXin Memory Technologies plans to list on the Shanghai STAR Market on Monday and raise nearly $10 billion. These contracts are traded with stablecoins, which can to some extent bypass the channel and eligibility restrictions overseas investors face when entering China’s stock market.
