This short position could actually be taken all the way. The key isn’t that I chased only after seeing the sell-off—it’s that after the earlier high-level spike surged and then rolled over, the bid support was never able to catch up. I started paying attention around 1.0030; when the price moved to 0.722, this weakness was finally confirmed by the chart. The recorded result was +1349.19%.

While grinding through the range before, it was really uncomfortable—several wick spikes nearly ground my patience away. Fortunately, I didn’t panic and bail just because of a short-term rebound, and after the sell-off accelerated, I also didn’t get carried away and chase orders. I kept my own rhythm and followed my own judgment.

What truly made me feel secure this time is that the rebound became more and more like an opportunity for the shorts to get off, rather than a chance to pull the price back up. If you’ve been in the crypto space long enough, you’ll know that when nobody is stepping in to buy at the highs, the price often falls faster than you’d expect.

After reviewing this trade, judging the direction is only the first step—whether you can hold up through the grinding and fake moves is what ultimately determines whether you can keep hold of the space you’re targeting. Once the short-side logic was proven, my conviction about this direction became even stronger.
