📈 #SECPushesFor24HourTrading

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is taking another step toward the future of financial markets by announcing a public roundtable to discuss preparations for 24-hour U.S. stock trading. The initiative aims to explore the operational, regulatory, and technological requirements needed to support around-the-clock trading in equity markets.

As global investors increasingly expect continuous market access—driven by the rise of digital assets and international participation—extended trading hours could improve accessibility, liquidity, and flexibility. At the same time, regulators and market participants must address important challenges such as market resilience, price discovery, risk management, and investor protection before any widespread implementation.

If adopted, 24-hour trading could mark one of the most significant structural changes in U.S. equity markets in decades, further narrowing the gap between traditional financial markets and the always-on nature of the crypto ecosystem.
