A few days ago, my hand that set the stop-loss was trembling slightly—this morning I found that it was unnecessary “filial piety.” When I opened the chart this morning, $MON didn’t keep pretending to be strong; instead, price slid back down along the key levels, and the shorts finally cashed in their patience.
In my last glance before bed, I was still watching the quality of MON’s rebound. Even though the price lifted itself upward several times, volume didn’t follow—sell orders stayed overhead the whole time. The rebound would lose steam as soon as it reached a critical area. This pattern made me more concerned about whether the support below would hold tightly, rather than continuing to fantasize about a breakout. So when price touched around 0.02670, I chose to execute a long—no chasing, no rush; I waited for confirmation before taking it.
The current price is 0.02101. Reviewing the results shows +1026.28%. I first closed 80% to secure what’s already in hand, and set the remaining 20% with cost protection. If the market continues to sell off, I’ll let the remaining position move with it; if there’s a rebound, I won’t allow the profit to slip back to the starting point.
Risk control done upfront is called rationality; cutting after you’re already losing is called a soldier severing an arm.
It’s not time to rush now. Missing this leg doesn’t matter—there will be opportunities later. Wait for the next shot to appear, and don’t ruin the rhythm just to chase a bite at the end.
