The most critical part in a contract has never been whether leverage is high or low—it's that iron rule you set yourself, whether you can cut through it cleanly with a single stroke.

First: if you’re wrong, cut immediately. $BTC
Don’t wait for a bounce, and don’t get lucky by holding on a little longer. Once it hits your stop-loss level, raise the hand and drop the blade. If you can’t make this cut, the market will make it for you—only it will cut harder, leaving nothing but bone.
Second: stop after a losing streak.
I set this for myself without negotiation: if I get two trades wrong in a row, I shut the software and walk away. When the market isn’t right, the more you fiddle, the more you lose. Only those who can hit the brakes in time can survive to the next round of行情.
Third: when you profit, put it into your pocket.
Floating profit in your account isn’t money. If you never take it out, it’s never yours. Every time you make a gain, withdraw part of it. Too many people earn money but refuse to leave—then one pullback and they give it all back. That’s basically doing work for nothing.
Fourth: only trade markets with a clear trend.
In a ranging market, even gods can’t make money. When there’s no direction, going to cash is the best move. Wait until the trend is stable before entering, and keep your position light. Even if you’re very bullish, don’t go heavy, and definitely don’t go all-in.
Light positions let you stay calm; being calm lets you follow the rules. The heavier the position, the more people lose control.
A lot of people don’t not understand these principles—they simply can’t do it.
They keep thinking they’ll turn it around in one shot, but the result is getting eliminated in one shot.
Futures contracts have never been a shortcut to getting rich—they only harvest people who have no discipline.
If you want to stay alive, don’t start by figuring out how much you can make—
first learn how not to get kicked out.
Survive, and there will be the next trading opportunity.
If you keep staying on the field, money will eventually come looking for you.
