This short position felt a bit like fighting my own emotions. When the price was grinding at the highs with repeated consolidation, it looked relatively strong on the surface, but in reality every time there was a push upward, there was a lack of follow-through. The higher the price went, the fewer the people who would take the baton.
What I was most worried about at the time wasn’t that I might read it wrong—it was that after waiting too long, I’d start getting emotional and losing control.
From 0.4076 to 0.3428, there were several quick rebounds along the way, and short sentiment was being pulled back and forth. The hardest part was watching the price not drop: it makes you wonder whether you missed the best entry point. But the sell pressure wasn’t being digested—it only kept me having to maintain patience.
Later, when the sell-off finally truly landed, the result was +1128.04%. In that moment, it wasn’t just the simple joy of getting profit—it was more like finally waiting for the market to clarify the logic on the chart, and the earlier anxiety gradually turned into steadiness.
This run made me reaffirm again: being bearish can’t just focus on a single big red candle—you have to check whether there is sustained support at the highs. It’s not that you start looking for reasons only after it drops; it’s those details from earlier failed breakouts and weak rebounds that already had the risk written on the chart.
