Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 26, Cointelegraph reported that the Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) announced it has become one of the founding partners of the U.S. Department of State’s “Freedom Tech Excellence Program” (FTEP). BPI will participate in the program together with Palantir Technologies, Anduril Industries, and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation.

The program is intended to advance U.S. diplomacy in the areas of digital freedom and freedom of expression. According to the U.S. Department of State, employees of participating organizations will have the opportunity to work with experts from the Department of State on topics including online freedom of expression, privacy-enhancing technologies, countering digital surveillance, and responsible AI governance.

Founded in 2021, BPI is a nonpartisan research and advocacy organization. Previously, the organization supported codifying an executive order issued by U.S. President Donald Trump in 2025 establishing a strategic cryptocurrency reserve through legislation.
