This message is directed at everyone who says that if TraderXYZ were to leave Hyperliquid, Hyperliquid would die, or that everyone would migrate with TraderXYZ.
It’s true that Hyperliquid has grown thanks to TraderXYZ. Nobody disputes that.
But the dependency is clearly asymmetrical.
Without Hyperliquid’s infrastructure, liquidity, community, and users, TraderXYZ likely would have ended up as just another DeFi project that almost nobody uses.
If this HIP-3 implementer has succeeded, it hasn’t been by coincidence. It’s been because they worked alongside the Hyperliquid ecosystem, had a long-term vision, good intentions, persistence, and built trust. Just look at other attempts in hip-3 and many others that won’t achieve this.
People no longer know what to come up with to generate FUD.
If TraderXYZ decided to separate from Hyperliquid, in my opinion, it would be a strategic suicide. And if someone leaves that space open, another builder will take it over sooner or later.
Imagine being the first to build on something that could become the home of global finance… and leaving that spot only for someone else to take your position a few years later.
It doesn’t make sense.
The post that started all this controversy seems like pure engagement or a deliberate attempt to generate FUD.
There are few possibilities:
• They sold at the top and want to buy back lower.
• They got left out and are looking for a dip.
• They don’t really understand how this ecosystem works.
• Or they simply wanted views and virality.
Several English accounts that I don’t want to mention were some of the main promoters of this idea.
A lot of people have played along with them and even ended up believing it.
However, it reassures me to see so many .hl that I respect in CT, explaining with solid arguments why this scenario is extremely unlikely.
My advice:
Block the FUD.
Block the FOMO.
Think for yourself.
Because Hyperliquid is not one person.
Hyperliquid is not TraderXYZ.
Hyperliquid is not Jeff.
Hyperliquid is not a single builder.
Hyperliquid is all of us.
It’s big because hundreds of people have decided to build here.
And it will be even bigger thanks to everyone who comes next… and also thanks to everyone who tried and got left by the wayside.
Cryptocurrencies have always suffered from the same problem: lack of trust.
They’ve lied to us again and again, too many times, so many that we’ve lost count.
That’s why I value Jeff and his team so much.
Up to today, they’ve proven to be loyal, transparent, and consistent with what they promise. They’ve never needed to sell smoke.
Hyperliquid has shown that less is more: talk less publicly, and work more, build more, and surprise more.
Hyperliquid is all of us.
And, saving the huge distances, it’s one of the few in this industry that has conveyed to me a philosophy that reminds me of what Satoshi Nakamoto left us with Bitcoin: build first, disappear from the spotlight, and let the protocol speak for itself.
If anyone thinks I’m exaggerating, tell me just one project, one CEO, or one team that today is more transparent and has executed something better than Hyperliquid.
