Honestly, I’ve been a bit confused lately when reading governance proposals. During airdrop season, everyone’s busy grinding tasks; anti-sybil measures have turned it into something like office attendance—people are competing just to get points, and even lining up in the points system feels like repeatedly refreshing to wait for the equality symbol. In the end, after all that, when you finally get some tokens, your voting power is then delegated step by step to a few big whales. 😅
I actually like slowly following how these narratives develop, but sometimes I can’t help thinking: governance tokens—what are they actually governing? They say it’s community co-governance, but in the end it feels like they’re giving the project team a “democratic” endorsement. Those little votes from retail investors can’t even get in the lineup… Maybe I’m just too idealistic, though. After all, people who don’t fight for first place are probably just suited to watch from the sidelines. For now, that’s it.
