# Bitcoin Daily Highlights (July 26, 2026)
Top 3 most important things today
1. The U.S. Clarity Act (Digital Asset Market Clarity Act) hits obstacles in progress, Sen. Lummis pushes negotiations
Sen. Cynthia Lummis is actively negotiating with Democrats, pushing Trump to compromise on ethical issues, and released a 616-page text in an attempt to advance the bill before the August recess. But the market broadly expects that the final Senate vote may be delayed to September, influenced by the political calendar ahead of midterm elections.
Why it matters: This is the U.S.’s most critical crypto market structure legislation, directly affecting institutional entry certainty and the long-term regulatory framework. Delays may suppress short-term risk appetite.
Possible impact: Neutral-to-bearish (short-term sentiment pressured, long-term still expected to be bullish).
2. Spot Bitcoin ETFs see consecutive outflows; institutional demand is fragile
U.S. spot BTC ETFs recorded about $240 million in net outflows on Friday, after about $225 million the day before. Combined over two days, total outflows were nearly $465 million, ending the previous roughly 7-day inflow cycle of nearly $1 billion. BlackRock IBIT contributed most of the selling pressure.
Why it matters: ETFs are the most core indicator of institutional demand today. Consecutive outflows, alongside a decline in stablecoin inflow volumes, show weakness in new buy demand.
Possible impact: Bearish (near-term price pressure).
3. Samsung Galaxy Wallet announces support for stablecoins, major players accelerate entry
Samsung announced at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 that Samsung Wallet will natively support stablecoins (such as USDC), making it one of the first mainstream smartphone makers to directly integrate digital assets into a system wallet. Some interpretations exaggerate it as an “all-user Bitcoin wallet”; in reality, it is mainly centered on stablecoin payments.
Why it matters: It reaches hundreds of millions of Galaxy users and is an important step toward real-world payments and adoption, but it has limited impact on BTC prices in the short term.
Possible impact: Neutral-to-bullish (long-term adoption narrative).
