Shorting $BCH this time—what really made me pull the trigger wasn’t a single big bearish candle, but the fact that the price kept pushing higher around 345.75 and repeatedly spiked, yet there was never any decent follow-through. Those pump moves looked quite intimidating, but in reality each time the price was pushed back down. I remember thinking right then that the sell pressure overhead wasn’t light.

To be honest, right after I got in, it wasn’t easy. The market first chopped back and forth, and during that period there was even a quick needle—my hand almost couldn’t hold on. Later, when the price rallied to 209.51, the short-seller momentum finally played out. I’ll record this trade as +2795.94%. I wasn’t going short just because it was dropping; it was because the detailed signs of being under pressure at the prior high never changed.

The easiest way to lose your composure in the crypto market is to see a sudden rebound and want to get out. This time I was able to hold through that stretch of consolidation, and it still came down to the fact that my judgment didn’t get thrown off.
