Letting go of someone you love, a long process that slowly erodes the happiness inside you. Not because your love is not strong enough, but because the universe seems never to take your side. You love him with all your heart; you’ve prayed with tears that fell quietly at night. You’ve hoped that each day would only be about him, but in the end you have to realize that not all feelings are worth fighting for to the very end. You start learning to accept, even though your heart refuses. You start walking away, even though your soul wants to stay. You start learning to smile, amid wounds you can never heal on your own. Every day you pretend you’re okay, even though inside your mind his name is still loud, his voice still echoes, his smile is still crystal clear in your memory. You try to erase memories, but memories can’t just be thrown away. You try to love someone else, but no one can replace the place he holds. You try to hate, but your heart stays gentle when you talk about him. And among all of that, you still love in silence, in distance, in longing that you can’t express. You learn to let go without deleting the feeling; you learn to accept without truly being willing; and you learn to walk on your own without a clear direction. And maybe this is the most silent form of love: when you have to release someone you know is the only one you wanted to hold forever. You keep praying for his happiness, even if it’s not with you. You keep hoping he’s okay, even though you yourself were never really okay after losing him. And finally, you realize that love is not always about having someone, but about the courage to let go—because staying with him would only hurt you even deeper every day. Hard to forget him

It’s funny when I reread our old chat back then. How easily I could smile with just a few words you typed. And how easily I could laugh at your weird jokes—after getting to know you, I only then realized that happiness is something easy. Because happiness is in our hands, and within our power as human beings. When I remember our past story, it feels like there is🥀
