We suggest you go “harvest capitalist wool”—for example, by using credit card points to swap for BTC—which is way more reliable than the kind of “zero-cost” free-for-all you see in the crypto space.

No-rug? Wake up, bro—there’s no such thing as true zero-rug anymore.

I played a few check-in and airdrop events before, but in the end they all turned out to be a waste of time—better to just buy a few major coins and hold them.

Real “zero-effort, zero-investment” schemes basically don’t exist anymore. A lot of them are either scams meant to generate traffic, or they require you to put in a huge amount of time—when you actually算 it out, your effective hourly pay is worse than just getting a job. If you really want to try, you can keep an eye on the testnet interactions of some new public chains, but you should also be careful about wallet security.
